This hands-on class is designed for beginners and will introduce you to the basics of operating a tufting gun. After a brief instructional session, the majority of the workshop will be dedicated to tracing your design onto the tufting fabric and bringing it to life with tufting.

FROM AN IDEA TO YOUR OWN TUFTED PIECE

Pick it.

Plan for a 2–3 hour session. We guide you through the technique, then you get hands-on with your design.

    Keep your design simple, choose your yarn colors, and trace onto the fabric.

    Learn & tuft.

    Get comfortable with the tufting gun and fill your design with colors

    We finish & ship.

    Your piece stays for gluing and finishing, then we ship it to you at no extra charge.

Good things take a little time ✨

Your rug needs at least 72 hours for the glue to dry, so it won’t be ready to take home the same day. Once it’s finished, we’ll ship it to you or you can pick it up from our studio.

Can I do this with no experience?
Yes. This workshop is designed for beginners. You'll learn how to operate the tufting gun before working on your own piece, with instructor guidance throughout.
What will I make?
You'll work on a 12 × 12 inch tufted piece using a cut-pile machine. Simple shapes and clean lines work best at this size. Workshop photos show the tufting experience; project sizes and designs may vary.
What does the $99 cover?
Your workshop, instruction, yarn, fabric, glue, use of the tufting equipment and frame, safety goggles and earplugs, plus finishing and shipping of your completed piece.
Can I take my piece home the same day?
Your piece stays at the studio for gluing and finishing. Glue needs at least 48 hours to dry. Once your piece is ready, we ship it to you at no extra charge.
How old do participants need to be?
This workshop is for adults aged 18 and above.
